Moviegoers in the US expecting to see Disney film 'Frozen' were accidentally shown sexually explicit scenes.

Kids and their parents at a screening in Florida reportedly saw two minutes of pornographic scenes from the trailer for Lars Von Triers' upcoming film 'Nymphomaniac', after the theatre experienced technical difficulties that delayed the start of the PG-rated 'Frozen', and temporarily played another cartoon.

A spokesperson for the theatre said the other scene - which featured actor Shia LaBoeuf having sex - was part of the wrong movie playing accidentally.

"They put in the filler, it looked like Steamboat Willie, the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene," Lynn Greene, who was there with grandchildren, told Fox 13 News.

"It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes," she said.

"I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good."

The cinema offered free movie tickets to those in the audience.
