Director Christopher Nolan has announced the title of the next film in his 'Batman' trilogy.
The film, to be released mid-2012, will be called 'The Dark Knight Rises', the LA Times reported.
Nolan also leaked an important piece of news for fans - his next instalment will not include The Riddler as Batman's nemesis.
However, he would not reveal which evil character would be used instead.
"We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones," Nolan said.
The director also announced that the film would be shown in 2D only.
