The teaser poster for Tim Burton's latest creation indicates his love of dark and quirky movies continues in 'Frankenweenie'.
A stop-motion animated film, 'Frankenweenie' is a tale about a boy and a dog.
After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life - with just a few minor adjustments, of course.
He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.
Featuring the voices of Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara and Martin Landau, 'Frankenweenie' follows in the footsteps of Burton's other stop-motion animated films 'Corpse Bride' and 'The Nightmare Before Christmas', both nominated for Oscars.
'Frankenweenie' is due for release in New Zealand in October.
